IN:OUT Hotel Concept by Ohra Studio, Tavertet

In the hills of Tavertet, Catalonia, Ohra Studio imagines a hotel that dissolves the boundary between inside and outside - a tranquil retreat where architecture, nature and well-being are inseparable.

A Hotel Drawn from the Landscape

Set in Tavertet, Catalunya, the IN:OUT Hotel Concept by Ohra Studio is conceived as a destination where nature is not a backdrop, but the starting point for every decision. Rather than imposing an object on the land, the project seeks to blend quietly into the surrounding topography, inviting guests to slow down, breathe, and reconnect.

From the first approach, the architecture reads as an extension of the terrain: low, horizontal lines, natural and framed views that keep the eye anchored to the landscape.

Inside and Outside, Seamlessly Connected

True to its name, IN:OUT is built around a continuous dialogue between interior and exterior. Circulation routes open to courtyards and terraces; shared spaces drift towards verandas and platforms that hover above the terrain.

Light, air and vegetation are treated as design materials. Openings are carefully placed to capture changing skies, distant ridges and the textures of the surrounding rock and forest. The goal is not spectacle, but harmony and balance - the feeling that each space belongs exactly where it is.

A Sanctuary for Rest and Well-Being

The hotel is imagined as a haven for guests seeking a quieter rhythm. Rooms and suites are composed as personal sanctuaries: calm palettes, tactile surfaces, and a clear, uncluttered layout that encourages rest.

Amenity spaces - from lounges and dining areas to wellness zones - are designed to support rituals of pause: lingering over a view, reading in filtered light, moving slowly between water, stone and wood. Every detail is calibrated to promote relaxation, presence and emotional ease.

Nature-Led Hospitality

Beyond its visual appeal, the IN:OUT Hotel Concept points towards a more nature-led model of hospitality: one that prioritises context, atmosphere and long-term well-being over short-term spectacle.

By embedding architecture in the landscape and placing serenity at the centre of the guest experience, Ohra Studio offers a compelling vision for future retreats - places where design does not compete with nature, but helps us return to it.
